i don't know if this should be in scraps or not...

i wanted to do a new year's comic strip, but then i got snowed in at work for three days. by the time the mess was melted and i was caught up with everything else, new year's day was done and gone. but looking at this sketcher pic, i decided i liked it enough to upload it. maybe i can finish the entire thing in time for next year...

ok, teh story: nala and simba are on their way to join mufasa and the lionesses as they wait for the sun to rise on the first day of the year. this would be on the day the brightest star (sirius) rises above the horizon.
